Anderson Orchard

A 100-acre u-pick orchard on one of the highest points in Morgan County, south-west of Indianapolis, started by Paul and Carolyn Anderson in 1969 and still family-run. U-pick apples across roughly 30 varieties, plus red raspberries, pumpkins and chestnuts; the 2026 u-pick season opened 22 August. The raspberry patch runs from August until the first freeze, the pumpkin patch opens the last week of September, and chestnut timing varies year to year, so call ahead. Hours are 8am-6pm daily in July and August, and 8am-8pm or dark in September and October, with u-pick closing at 7pm in the autumn. The Apple Barn sells pre-picked apples, cider, apple butter and local produce, and there is a concession stand, playground and haystack. Peaches and Asian pears sold in the barn are brought in rather than grown here. A petting zoo runs 3-25 October only, and the Apple Festival & Craft Fair falls on 26-27 September.
