Beasley's Orchard

A well-known orchard and market west of Indianapolis with u-pick apples, strawberries and pumpkins, a corn maze and a large retail store. Pickers are handed a map showing which varieties are ready and each row is marked with its variety name; the pumpkin patch is reached by hayride. Third-generation family farm - Milton and Irene Beasley bought the original 80 acres in 1946, now around 165 acres, with the market housed in a peg-and-beam barn built shortly after the Civil War. The family shifted hard into agritourism from 2015 and was among the first in central Indiana to do so. Cider voted best in Indiana by the Indiana Horticultural Society. Themed activity weekends run from mid-September through October, and the Heartland Apple Festival - its 40th - falls on 3-4 and 10-11 October 2026, the only days a $5 parking fee applies. Hours vary seasonally; currently 9am-6pm Monday to Saturday and noon-6pm Sunday. Hosts roughly 8,000 schoolchildren a year on field trips.
