Doud's Countyline Orchard

The David Doud family's orchard in Wabash County, trading on Google as David Doud's Countyline Orchard. Apples, peaches, strawberries and blackberries, some under high tunnels; strawberries and apples are sold both pick-your-own and already-picked. A deliberately no-frills orchard - apples, pears, cider and good advice, as one reviewer puts it - with unusual and heritage varieties including Hudson's Golden Gem and Ashmead's Kernel, and Asian pears that regular customers plan their year around. Sold by the bag (half peck, peck, half bushel) rather than by the pound. Staff will offer samples if you are unsure of a variety. Cash and check only, no cards. Google now shows Friday and Saturday 1-5pm only, closed the rest of the week, narrower than the Tuesday-to-Saturday pattern previously recorded here; strawberry-season hours vary.
