Kercher's Sunrise Orchards

A 600-acre wholesale and retail fruit and vegetable farm south of Goshen with an on-site cider mill and country store, trading as Kercher Sunrise Orchards Inc. 4.7 across 206 ratings. U-pick apples late August to late October, priced around $1.50/lb; also sweet and tart cherries in June, morel mushrooms in May, sweet corn, peaches, pumpkins and squash. U-pick pumpkins and hayrides at weekends from late September, and a harvest festival the first weekend of October. The country store carries bakery items, maple syrup, mugs and gifts, and the donuts and roasted corn are singled out by reviewers. Their website is unusually good on which varieties are ripe when, and they only open a block for picking once that variety is actually ready, so checking before driving out is worthwhile. ACCESS WARNING: the walk out to the trees is uphill and reviewers state plainly that people with limited mobility will not be able to take part. Google now lists 9am-5pm Tuesday to Friday, 9am-4pm Monday, Saturday and Sunday - Sunday opening is a change from the previously recorded closed-Sunday pattern.
