Lark Ranch

A large ticketed fall attraction near Greenfield, 20 minutes east of Indianapolis in Hancock County, just off I-70. 4.6 across 804 ratings, and much closer to a farm theme park than an orchard. Started in 2001 by Matt Lark, an Indianapolis attorney who began hosting school field trips on his farm, cut a maze into a corn field and planted a pumpkin patch; built up with his three sons Kyle, Adam and Eric. Lark Ranch now runs three Indiana locations - Greenfield, Loogootee near French Lick, and Lanesville - and hours, dates and prices differ by site, so much of what turns up in search refers to the other two. This record covers Greenfield only. The 2026 season runs weekends from 19 September to 1 November, with Greenfield the only site open on 1 November. All guests aged 3 and over need paid admission, bought online or at the gate; cash and credit both accepted. Season passes are $40, sold online only, and are valid at any location for the 2026 season. THE PUMPKINS ARE GENUINELY PICKED: a 30-minute hayride runs out to the patch and reviewers confirm cutting their own at no extra charge. Admission also covers an 8-acre corn maze, a mile-long train, petting farm with Highland cows, haystack, jumping pillow, giant slides and unlimited carnival rides - reviewers particularly value that the rides need no extra tokens. Corn cannon, pony rides, gem mining and the Lark Valley zipline cost extra. Parking is free. Amusement rides and food stands open an hour after the gates. No refunds or rain checks for weather, though attractions may close in high wind or lightning. Several food stands and games take cash only, the only toilets are portable, and queueing is poorly signposted. The site reopens for an Ultimate Country Christmas on select December weekends.
