Guilford, Dearborn
Phillips Berry Patch
A small family berry farm at Guilford in Dearborn County, within reach of Cincinnati, started in the early 1990s by a man who took up berry growing in retirement. Now Phillip's Berry Patch LLC, owned by James and Darlene Phillips. What began as a few rows of strawberries and blueberries and a roadside tent has grown to include a pond, a covered patio with picnic tables overlooking it, and a building for the farm's jams, jellies and salsa. Strawberries come in late May to early June, blueberries late June into July, and blackberries in August, sold u-pick or pre-picked; pumpkins, gourds and mums follow in September and October. Also sells honey, tomatoes, green beans, peppers and other produce.

- The farm's headline crop, offered both u-pick and pre-picked. Season runs from late June or early July through July. Also sold on site: homemade jams, jellies, honey, tomatoes, green beans, peppers and other produce. There is a pond with a covered patio and picnic tables overlooking it - a genuinely pleasant stop rather than just a field.
