Rykers Ridge Blueberry

A u-pick and ready-pick blueberry farm on Rykers Ridge north of Madison, about ten minutes from the Ohio River town. Formerly known as Stiver Family Farms. 4.9 across 12 ratings - small, and reviewers consistently report having the field more or less to themselves. Season runs roughly 20 May to 15 July; Google now posts daily 9am-9pm, which is wider than the dawn-to-dusk description previously held here, but the farm asks you to call ahead to confirm availability either way. Bushes reported as heavily laden in good years: two pickers took four pounds in thirty minutes in one account, eleven pounds in another, and reviewers mention back patches beyond the main rows. Occasional promotions, including a National Blueberry Day sale. Picnic area where you may bring your own food; friendly farm dogs wander the site. Cash and cheque only. The kind of small, well-run patch that suits people who want to pick without crowds.
