Stuckey Farm Orchard & Cider Mill

A large working orchard and cider mill in the far north-west of Hamilton County, established in 1969 with the planting of the first apple trees and now celebrating over 50 years. 4.2 across 1,136 ratings, the second-busiest farm in this directory. Around 40 acres with 25 in apples: 38 varieties on 5,000 trees per the farm's current figures. One of the largest cider mills in Indiana, pressing over 50,000 gallons a season, with a cider tasting bar in the market. U-pick apples, u-pick vegetables, sunflowers and 8-10 acres of pumpkins. Adventure Acres children's area with a 60-foot tube slide, pedal cars and the Stuckey Express train; wagon rides through the orchard; pig races, apple cannons and a corn maze on festival weekends. Country Market with in-season produce, honey, jellies, gifts and their much-praised apple cider donuts and cider slushies. Runs an Indiana Sunflower Festival in late August and early September (with its own site, indianasunflowerfestival.com) and Harvest Festivals through autumn. Also does farm-to-table dinners among the trees and hosts events. Admission structure: the farm store and buying produce are free to access, but everyone over 2 pays beyond that - reported at $10 on weekdays and $16 at weekends, $2 less booked online. Open July through Thanksgiving; fall hours Thursday to Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 1pm-7pm, with Monday to Wednesday reserved for school tours.
