Rolling Prairie, LaPorte
Also known as Ken Williams Orchards
A historic orchard at Rolling Prairie in LaPorte County, founded in the 1860s by Civil War veteran Benjamin Williams and worked by the family for three generations. 4.7 across 126 ratings. After Ken Williams died in 2018 the 135-acre farm was bought by Jon and Robyn Drummond, who reopened it for picking on Labor Day weekend 2019. U-pick apples from early September into October, with peaches earlier in the summer. Weekends bring wagon rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, cider donuts and a food truck. The 1870s barn still stands and the farm doubles as a wedding and event venue, so check the Facebook page for which weekends are open to pickers. The farm is on Central time.
